STUDIO / CONTACT

LuzForm was founded in 2001 so Stacey Noyes could gratify her interest in other peoples’ fields of expertise by translating their knowledge into books, publications, exhibit signage and websites. The projects featured on this site are the results to date.

Elisa Gutiérrez’s consumate skills as an illustrator and children’s book designer will culminate with the publication of her own book, “Picturescape,” which will be published by Simply Read Books in Spring 2005. LuzForm completely takes advantage of Elisa to turn rough, waving-hands-in-the-air, “picture this” sketches into illustrations that can unashamedly be taken to press.

LuzForm collaborated with Elisa on the illustrations for The Homeowner’s Journal.

Pechet and Robb is an architecture studio whose work deftly crosses disciplines, yet maintains a playful sense of inquiry and optimism throughout. LuzForm loves working with P&R because, although serious, there is nothing cool and aloof about them or their work. It is a fabulous balancing act, with playfulness and rigour at either end.

LuzForm collaborated with P&R on the signage design for the Pier development for the City of North Vancouver, as well as designing P&R’s own website.

Elissa Vann Struth’s interests are reflected in her degrees, an MA in Asian Studies (UBC) and a BA in Economics and History (UMan). She is quick-witted, well read and a master of non-sequiturs. Our collaborations on promotion campaigns are rooted in a shared penchant for wide-ranging discussions, never shying away from weird tidbits of the arcane, which ultimately lead to the best, most memorable approaches!

LuzForm collaborated with Elissa Vann Struth on the promotion campaigns for Global Heritage Fund and BR Cohen and Associates.

James Baker designs and builds interactive projects and is so knowledgeable about this relatively new field that the design is shockingly the same across browsers and operating systems. He’s also so logical that any misguided interface design loopiness that comes his way (and for which we take full responsibility) never gets beyond the test site.

LuzForm collaborated with James on the Winsor Gallery, Pechet and Robb and LuzForm sites.
