ANNA WONG

Burnaby Art Gallery

Two catalogues (English/French and Simple/Traditional Chinese), exhibition graphics and educational material accompanying master printmaker Anna Wong’s (1930 – 2013) first solo exhibition, Traveller on Two Roads, Périple sur Deux Chemins. Born and raised in Vancouver’s Chinatown, Wong studied Chinese brush painting in Hong Kong and graduated with a degree in creative printmaking from the Vancouver School of Art. She continued to study and teach at the Pratt Graphics Centre in NYC for close to two decades. Winning numerous prizes and representing Canada in several international print biennials, Wong’s independent spirit led her to define her own notion of artistic success.
