KINDRED TRACINGS

Catalogue accompanying the exhibition Kindred Tracings, featuring artists Muriel Ahmarani Jaouich, Minahil Bukhari, Russna Kaur, and Michelle Sound, each of whom apply strategies of abstraction and the elements of scripts (the curves, gestures and marks) in a variety of mediums to give shape, colour and substance to experiences of language and its failures as they follow the lineages of family stories and worldviews that tend to evade written records, to finally make them resonant and specific.
