Catalogue accompanying Kim Kennedy Austin’s exhibition, Booster Club, her parodic and conjectural framing of the contemporary social, economic, and political framework of our late capitalist existence. The catalogue’s size, paper, finishing and type choices reference Austin’s collection of early 20th century tool catalogues and industrial instruction manuals to echo her thematically-linked paintings, stitchery and ceramic tiles, as she deconstructs bygone references and allusions investing them with new meaning.
