





Recipes from Wine Country
Tony de Luca, executive chef of Hillebrand Wine Estates, shares his expert knowledge of pairing fine wine and superb food. Organized by wine variety, each chapter begins with a description of the wine, followed by seasonal menus. Often the menus have a main recipe followed by two or three accompanying recipes for sauces, vegetables and serving details.
The design focussed on a strongly hierarchical typographic layout to make the detailed menus easy to follow, and not look intimidatingly dense. Also, with De Luca's emphasis on fresh local ingredients, each season was signaled with a different palette of colour: bright title type and complementary pale pages.
