B.R. Cohen & Associates - primarily former senior U.S. Foreign Service Officers - consult with businesses that are expanding internationally, but don't have on-the-ground experience or networks in their new marketplace.

With associates who have experience in all parts of the world, whether India, Russia or Argentina, so can speak the language fluently and understand the business culture, B. R. Cohen & Associates wanted to sell themselves as a one-stop-shop for global logistical solutions.

Working closely with Elissa Vann Struth, the idea for both the website and direct mail postcard campaign was to pose scenarios - opening a franchise in mainland China? - and raise the inevitable issues that would arise. The website was quite straight, using actual client experiences. The postcards took a more playful approach offering the advice B. R. Cohen would have given historical figures like Marco Polo (invest in spice futures) or Hannibal (elephants hate cold feet) had they only asked.
